Key Purpose

The Clinics Administrator is responsible for providing full administrative support within onsite clinic environments, working closely with the nursing staff. This role ensures smooth clinic operations during agreed working hours and supports Primary Health Care, Occupational Health Care, or a combination of both services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments to ensure efficient clinic flow and reduced waiting times
  • Maintain, organize, and securely store medical records for accurate and timely access
  • Manage clinic waiting areas to ensure a professional and welcoming environment
  • Act as a liaison between patients, medical staff, and external stakeholders
  • Monitor and manage clinic stock, consumables, and inventory levels
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and operational standards
  • Provide administrative support to medical personnel as required
  • Handle patient queries, resolve complaints, and provide accurate service information
  • Compile and submit operational reports to management
  • Manage stationery orders and general administrative supplies
  • Coordinate calibration, maintenance, and repair of clinical equipment
  • Oversee medical waste collection and disposal processes
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to incapacity support, case management, and return-to-work coordination

Education and Experience

  • Matric (Senior Certificate) required
  • Minimum of 1 year administrative experience
