We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Parts Administrator to join the team at Value Logistics. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of our parts department, ensuring efficient inventory management, and supporting our workshop’s needs. Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Excellence: Accurately pick and issue parts as per job cards. Maintain and update the backorder report, submitting it regularly to the Parts Manager. Promptly record and report daily stock-outs, initiating timely replenishment. Ensure all pre-booked parts are secured and purchased before vehicles arrive for scheduled maintenance. Generate purchase orders for non-stock items or buy-outs as specified on job cards. Proactively follow up with suppliers on all deliveries and collections. Upon stock receipt, expedite the issuance of parts against job cards to the workshop. Conduct precise stock counts during cycle counts and full stock takes. Diligently track part movements and monitor all stock transfers. Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock, reporting these to the Parts Manager for review and deletion. Process all credit returns efficiently. Undertake additional duties as assigned within the Parts Department.
  • Workplace Management: Maintain a consistently clean and organized work area, adhering strictly to Value Housekeeping procedures to ensure a tidy environment.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Uphold all Value Health and Safety procedures and requirements diligently.
  • General Duties: Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with customers and colleagues. Demonstrate the capability to work independently, utilizing initiative to complete tasks effectively.

Minimum Requirements

  • Completion of Grade 12 (Matric).
  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a parts administration role.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
  • A proactive and engaged work ethic.
