The Plumber is responsible for supporting and executing maintenance strategies to ensure all water systems and related equipment operate efficiently. The role focuses on fault finding, system analysis, and timely resolution of plumbing issues in line with service level agreements across both critical and non-critical areas.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Management

• Implement and support preventative, reactive, statutory, and condition-based maintenance strategies
• Plan and carry out preventative maintenance on plumbing systems and equipment
• Ensure statutory maintenance is completed in line with regulatory requirements and standards
• Respond to maintenance issues promptly and ensure quality repairs within required timelines

Plumbing Operations

• Identify faults in piping systems, equipment, and installations
• Repair leaks, unblock pipes, and maintain plumbing systems
• Diagnose and repair boilers and heat pump systems
• Maintain water closet systems to ensure proper functionality
• Test and maintain water-related equipment including dishwashers, pumps, irrigation systems, and water dispensers

Health, Safety and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Follow all organizational standards and procedures
• Maintain systems and equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and at required intervals

Education and Experience

• Relevant plumbing qualification
• Solid understanding of water reticulation and drainage systems
• Experience in repairing blockages and water closet systems
• Knowledge of maintenance strategies including preventative and reactive maintenance
• Understanding of environmental impacts related to water systems and chemical use
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a corporate or similar environment
• Experience with Geberit systems, high-pressure piping, boilers, filtration systems, and pumps
