Project Manager (Healthcare)
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Healthcare) to lead and oversee healthcare catering and hospitality projects, ensuring successful delivery in line with organizational objectives, contractual requirements, and industry regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing large-scale healthcare food service operations, driving operational excellence, and ensuring efficient project execution within high-volume environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage healthcare catering and hospitality projects from planning through to implementation and completion.
- Lead unit mobilization projects, operational transitions, and change management initiatives.
- Oversee large-scale food service operations within healthcare facilities and centralized production kitchens.
- Ensure the effective delivery of catering services while maintaining the highest quality, safety, and compliance standards.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and service delivery.
- Establish standardized menus, food production procedures, and cost-control measures.
- Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and performance indicators to ensure project success.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and profit optimization initiatives.
- Oversee procurement processes, inventory control, and supply chain performance.
- Implement and maintain electronic meal ordering and healthcare food service management systems.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and food safety regulations.
- Lead workforce planning, staff scheduling, payroll coordination, and performance management activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, healthcare stakeholders, and service partners.
- Analyze operational data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with service level agreements and contractual obligations.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Services, Culinary Arts, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in catering project management, preferably within healthcare, commercial, or industrial catering environments.
- Proven experience managing large-scale kitchen operations serving more than 2,000 individuals.
- Experience within healthcare facilities, hospitals, or industrial sites will be highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated success in managing mobilization projects and operational change programs.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, costing, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Experience working within established operational and brand standards.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Valid driver’s license.
