Senior UX Designer
We are seeking a highly experienced and creative Senior UX Designer to lead the design and delivery of exceptional user experiences across digital products and platforms. The successful candidate will apply deep user experience expertise to influence product strategy, drive design excellence, and ensure user-centered design principles are embedded throughout the product development lifecycle.
This role requires a strategic thinker who can independently lead complex UX initiatives, conduct research, transform insights into innovative solutions, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive, engaging, and impactful customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
User Experience Strategy and Design
- Lead the end-to-end design of user experiences across digital products and services.
- Translate business objectives, customer needs, and product requirements into effective UX solutions.
- Develop user-centered designs that align with product strategy, business goals, and brand standards.
- Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, journey maps, and high-fidelity designs.
- Drive the integration of UX standards and best practices across product development processes.
- Ensure consistency and usability across multiple platforms and touchpoints.
User Research and Insights
- Plan and conduct user research, interviews, surveys, usability testing, and customer discovery activities.
- Analyze user behavior and research findings to identify opportunities for product improvement.
- Translate research insights into actionable design recommendations and UX requirements.
- Advocate for user needs throughout the design and development lifecycle.
- Validate design solutions through testing and iterative improvement.
Design Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead UX initiatives from concept through implementation, evaluation, and optimization.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders.
- Present design concepts, research findings, and recommendations to senior leadership and product teams.
- Facilitate design thinking workshops and promote a culture of user-centered innovation.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to designers and project teams when required.
Usability and Continuous Improvement
- Conduct usability evaluations and identify opportunities to improve customer experiences.
- Measure design effectiveness and support data-driven decision-making.
- Continuously enhance digital experiences based on user feedback, analytics, and emerging trends.
- Ensure accessibility, usability, and interaction design standards are maintained.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and UX best practices.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Design, User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Design or a related discipline is preferred.
- Minimum of 4–5 years’ experience in User Experience Design.
- Proven experience leading UX projects from concept to delivery.
- Strong experience conducting user research, interviews, surveys, and usability studies.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business and feature requirements into intuitive user experiences.
- Experience presenting to and engaging with Product Owners, senior stakeholders, and leadership teams.
- Strong usability testing and research validation experience.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard UX design and prototyping tools.
- Experience championing design thinking across a range of products and services.
Preferred Experience
- Experience within financial services, banking, or fintech environments.
- Background in analytics, customer insights, or data-driven design.
- Advanced proficiency with Figma and modern design platforms.
- Exposure to customer experience strategy and service design methodologies.
Knowledge and Expertise
- Advanced understanding of UX principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Expertise in interaction design, information architecture, and user-centered design.
- Strong knowledge of prototyping, wireframing, and usability evaluation techniques.
- Excellent understanding of visual design principles including layout, typography, hierarchy, and accessibility.
- Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and product development practices.
- Understanding of customer behavior, human psychology, behavioral science, or anthropology as it relates to user experience.
- Familiarity with analytics and performance measurement tools.
