Job Overview
The Sales Support Exports role provides essential administrative and operational support to sales managers, ensuring smooth execution of export sales activities. This role focuses on contract administration, customer service, order management, and credit management to drive export sales performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist sales managers in implementing effective sales plans by product or grade to maximize business returns
- Contribute to the execution of base chemicals polymers marketing and sales strategies
- Support the Order to Cash (O2C) process, ensuring alignment with customer and business requirements
- Track sales volumes and pricing commitments with customers and distributors to meet contractual obligations
- Liaise with stakeholders to receive, review, and approve debit notes, and issue credit notes for export markets
- Verify accurate and timely invoice preparation, ensuring proper documentation and export packaging
- Address overdue invoices, resolve customer service issues, manage work orders, and ensure proper contract filing in collaboration with the legal team
- Analyse sales performance data, interpret results, and generate periodic and ad-hoc reports
- Represent the sales team when required, assisting with product pricing, sales development, sales materials, marketing communications, and proposal writing
- Maintain and update sales tools for planning and forecasting export volumes
- Follow established work procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency in the export sales process
- Adopt new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and customer service
- Apply evidence-based SHE practices in accordance with company standards
- Implement Sasol Group’s risk philosophy and enterprise risk management framework
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve export sales objectives
- Continuously improve skills and knowledge, implementing personal development plans to achieve performance goals
Minimum Requirements
- University Bachelor’s Degree
- 4+ years’ relevant experience in sales support or export operations
