About the Role:
The Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling Value services, with a primary focus on Value Truck Rental while cross-selling other services such as Linehaul, Value Equipment, Fridge Fleet, Freightpak, Warehousing, Clearing and Forwarding, Moving Billboards, and Express. This role involves building strong client relationships, understanding customer needs, and driving revenue growth across existing and new accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management

  • Gather information on clients’ transport, distribution, and expenditure
  • Evaluate potential expenditure and apply focus factors (G, S, B)
  • Understand competitors in your area
  • Build trust and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Identify customer service requirements and provide accurate quotes for Value services
  • Grow the existing client base through understanding of their business and cross-selling Value services
  • Close deals and target national accounts
  • Understand client contracts with Value and ensure service delivered aligns with current requirements
  • Analyze customer business to achieve required growth targets
  • Maximize value from every client interaction by planning objectives for each visit
  • Maintain Value service levels according to Standard Operations Procedures
  • Maintain high-frequency contact with key business influencers
  • Keep product knowledge updated regularly
  • Identify client problems and resolve queries promptly (e.g., invoice issues, claims, PODs)
  • Present a professional image at all times
  • Adhere to and enforce company policies and procedures
  • Submit accurate sales reports on time
  • Meet team expectations, budgets, and management goals
  • Assist with additional tasks and duties as reasonably requested by management

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Experience in a sales environment
  • Proficiency in English and Afrikaans

  • Ability to apply various sales techniques appropriate to the situation
  • Strong ability to determine customer needs within assigned area
  • Effective time management skills
  • Customer relationship management
  • Understanding of risk management principles and ability to accept outcomes independently
