Cashbuild is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team in Johannesburg. This role is crucial in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, contributing to the smooth financial operations of the company. Responsibilities

  • Receive, process, verify, and reconcile vendor invoices to ensure accurate payments and effective control of trade creditors within set timeframes.
  • Ensure suppliers’ invoices and store documents are received and processed correctly on the system.
  • Raise and submit all unmatched invoices (PPV) to the team leader for distribution to relevant departments and ensure timely resolution.
  • Distribute unmatched invoices (SRE) to relevant stores and ensure timely resolution.
  • Verify and forward all RFCs (Requests for Credit) to suppliers timeously.
  • Ensure valid credit notes are received and processed.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations between supplier statements and Cashbuild’s accounts payable records by the deadline using the BEST system.
  • Resolve all vendor queries and disputes in accordance with supplier terms.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly AP vendor listings for the payment run.
  • Ensure all documents are correctly filed and sent to the Warehouse.
  • Complete ad hoc duties as required by management.
  • Assist with and resolve supplier and other internal customer queries and complaints.
  • Provide fast, friendly, and efficient service to all customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum Grade 12 or NQF Level 4.
  • Three years of relevant work experience.
  • Must be deadline-driven and able to work under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in computer literacy, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
