As a Specialist: Regional Banking, you will be responsible for driving growth within the Islamic Banking portfolio by expanding the customer base and delivering tailored financial solutions across retail, business, and corporate segments. This role focuses on providing expert guidance on Islamic Banking products while ensuring full compliance with Shari’ah governance and regulatory standards.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders and business units to support sustainable growth, strengthen client relationships, and enhance market presence within the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow the Islamic Banking client base across multiple segments through targeted acquisition strategies
- Provide expert support to clients on Islamic Banking solutions, structures, and value propositions
- Manage sales pipelines proactively, driving new business through referrals and market engagement
- Deliver high standards of customer service and maintain strong client relationships
- Collaborate with credit, risk, and operations teams to ensure efficient and compliant product execution
- Promote awareness and understanding of Islamic Banking principles among clients
- Ensure all products and services comply with Shari’ah governance requirements
- Identify, manage, and escalate potential risks, including compliance, credit, and reputational risks
- Partner with various business units to integrate Islamic Banking into broader client offerings
- Align activities with organizational strategies, product standards, and governance frameworks
- Work with cross-functional teams to support seamless deal execution
- Engage with community and industry stakeholders to strengthen regional presence
- Achieve financial and non-financial targets, including customer growth, revenue, and deposits
- Maintain accurate reporting on pipelines, portfolios, and performance metrics
- Provide market insights to support decision-making and strategy development
- Ensure compliance with all policies, regulatory standards, and risk management frameworks
- Conduct proper client due diligence and maintain documentation standards
Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of experience in sales and commercialization within a banking environment
- Proven exposure to Islamic Banking or Islamic finance products
- Strong understanding of credit processes, risk management, and banking products
- Ability to build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
Preferred:
- Qualification in Islamic Finance such as IFQ, CIFP, or equivalent certification
