About the Program

Main Job Purpose
The Driver ensures the safe transportation of staff and outreach teams, manages the mobile clinic or work vehicle, and supports logistics, including loading and unloading equipment. Additional responsibilities include assisting Wellness Counsellors, Peer Educators, and Human Rights Ambassadors with programme introduction, health education, harm reduction, and data capturing/reporting of outreach activities.

Key Performance Areas

Transport and Logistics

  • Safely transport staff to outreach sites and offices.
  • Manage and maintain the mobile clinic or work vehicle.
  • Keep accurate records of fuel, mileage, and maintenance.
  • Load and unload field equipment, including chairs, tents, and generators.
  • Report vehicle damages and adhere to road safety regulations.
  • Follow Anova’s vehicle policy and submit weekly vehicle inspection checklists.

Outreach Support

  • Provide youth-centred information, self-care advice, and risk reduction strategies during outreach activities.
  • Support Human Rights Ambassadors with education on GBV, PrEP, and SRH.
  • Link HIV-positive clients to care and assist with ART initiation.
  • Ensure compliance with IQC and maintain proper waste and infection control.
  • Manage and store HTS supplies safely.

Administration Support

  • Capture and submit client data daily.
  • Monitor data to help achieve programme targets.
  • Perform delegated administrative tasks while maintaining professional conduct.
  • Build strong relationships with health facilities for client linkage.
  • Submit timesheets and reports on time.

Data Capture and Management

  • Follow SOPs for data management and quality assurance.
  • Pre-retrieve client folders and ensure accurate electronic medical record capture.
  • Conduct routine data audits and reporting for key indicators.
  • Participate in data quality improvement initiatives.
  • Use electronic medical records systems to generate and action line lists for patient and programme management.
  • Maintain proper filing systems and strengthen overall data management.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality and risk management procedures regarding staff access to information systems.
