Sales Coordinator

Cashbuild is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Coordinator to join our team in Siyabuswa, South Africa. This role is crucial in driving sales by ensuring excellent customer interaction, accurate costing of building plans, and maintaining high store standards. Key Responsibilities

Sales

  • Generate sales by issuing and following up on quotations.
  • Manage the quotation process and special orders effectively.
  • Read building plans and provide accurate quotations within agreed timeframes.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing calls, ensuring timely follow-ups.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to maintain store competitiveness.
  • Communicate bulk deposit transfers to customers.
  • Promote loyalty programs, including VIC and Charge Card customers.

Deliveries

  • Oversee an efficient delivery service, ensuring correct rates are charged.
  • Dispatch deliveries within required time limits.
  • Communicate any delayed deliveries to customers and make suitable arrangements.

Customer Service

  • Manage the Customer Service Desk effectively.
  • Record, follow up on, and resolve customer complaints.
  • Ensure prompt and efficient customer service, attending to all customers promptly.
  • Maintain excellent telephone etiquette, answering all calls within the required timeframe.

Store Standards

  • Effectively manage Ready for Business Checklists and related processes for your area of responsibility and that of the General Assistant, Sales Advisors, and Forklift Drivers.
  • Implement price changes in line with advertised prices.
  • Execute planogram implementations.

People Management

  • Ensure all General Assistants, Sales Advisors, and Forklift Drivers are present and available to assist customers and perform their duties.
  • Ensure trained backup is available for General Assistants, Sales Advisors, and Forklift Drivers.
  • Oversee the execution of daily duties by General Assistants, Sales Advisors, and Forklift Drivers, including “Ready for Business” and “Beyond My Control” tasks.

Safety (OHSA) Requirements

  • Ensure adherence to all safety standards.
  • Verify that employees under your supervision wear correct protective clothing and use equipment safely.

Security Awareness

  • Maintain vigilance regarding suspicious individuals or activities within and around the store.
  • Adhere to password security protocols.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 qualification with 5 years of related experience, or a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Plan reading experience would be advantageous.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and the dominant language spoken in the Siyabuswa area.
  • Above-average numeric skills.
  • Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy.
  • Proven strong organisational, planning, and delegation skills.
