The Vehicle Monitoring Coordinator ensures daily operational efficiency by monitoring vehicle activity, managing incidents and faults, and maintaining accurate reporting and communication. This role emphasizes procedural compliance, professional conduct, and upholding health, safety, and housekeeping standards while providing operational support and minimizing vehicle downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Monitoring and Incident Management
- Monitor vehicles according to company procedures
- Identify, record, and report deviations or exceptions promptly
- Ensure all alarms are acknowledged and addressed within the required timeframe
- Respond to incidents and accidents professionally, following company protocols
Communication and Reporting
- Receive or request the daily route sheet from relevant business units
- Accurately record all operational and vehicle performance information
- Compile and distribute operational reports on time to stakeholders
- Log and report all occurrences and unusual events accurately
Fault Management and Vehicle Repairs
- Update vehicle faults daily in the system or log
- Communicate faults to the relevant personnel or departments
- Follow up to ensure vehicle repairs are completed effectively and promptly
Operational Support
- Assist with operational tasks and functions as needed
- Maintain professional conduct when engaging with staff, customers, or external parties
- Adhere to company dress code and grooming standards
Housekeeping, Health and Safety
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the work area daily
- Comply with all Health and Safety regulations and follow safe working practices consistently
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
