Empact Vacancies – Cleaning Contract Manager

An experienced and results-driven Cleaning Contract Manager is required to oversee integrated cleaning services operations. The successful candidate will manage staff, ensure compliance with contract specifications and statutory regulations, and maintain high service standards within a hospital environment. This role also involves controlling operational costs, supporting client services, conducting training, handling audits, and managing industrial relations matters.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ cleaning experience within a hospitality environment
  • Proven experience in highly commercial and sensitive environments
  • Strong people management experience
  • Project management experience in cleaning is advantageous
  • Computer literacy is essential
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage soft services operations to ensure service delivery meets client and business expectations
  • Oversee service level agreements (SLAs) and build strong, long-term client relationships
  • Lead and manage teams to ensure high performance and productivity
  • Monitor and control operational costs while identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Provide operational support including training, audits, and performance monitoring
  • Handle industrial relations matters effectively
  • Prepare, analyze, and present operational reports
  • Ensure service quality from external contractors aligns with required standards

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of the hospitality cleaning sector
  • Knowledge of relevant industry laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices
  • Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
  • Strong leadership and people management abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid administrative and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and manage priorities effectively
  • Flexibility to work varied hours when required
