We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager: People Operations to lead and optimize people operations across the employee lifecycle. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring governance and compliance, enhancing HR systems, maintaining payroll integrity, and delivering scalable people processes that support business growth and an exceptional employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Strategy and Execution
- Develop and implement People Operations strategies that align with organizational objectives.
- Translate strategic goals into scalable operational plans and frameworks.
- Oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, from onboarding to offboarding.
- Establish and maintain service level agreements, operational standards, and performance measures.
- Drive operational efficiency, consistency, and continuous improvement across all people processes.
Governance, Risk and Compliance
- Lead HR governance initiatives and ensure compliance with employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain audit readiness and strengthen risk management practices within People Operations.
- Develop and oversee data governance frameworks to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Implement controls, validation processes, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Manage compliance reporting and support internal and external audits.
Systems, Automation and Process Improvement
- Drive a digital-first approach to People Operations through system optimization and automation.
- Manage and enhance HR technology platforms, including HRIS and payroll systems.
- Lead process re-engineering initiatives to improve operational effectiveness and employee experience.
- Identify opportunities for automation, workflow improvements, and operational transformation.
- Collaborate with technology teams to implement scalable HR solutions.
Payroll and Data Management
- Oversee payroll readiness and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Manage payroll governance, controls, and upstream operational dependencies.
- Ensure employee master data remains accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
- Maintain high standards of data quality, reporting, and information management.
- Monitor payroll and HR data processes to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
Leadership and Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary People Operations team.
- Build strong partnerships with Human Resources, Finance, Risk, Technology, and external service providers.
- Influence the adoption of operational standards and best practices across the organization.
- Provide strategic guidance and operational insights to senior leadership teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in People Operations, HR Operations, Shared Services, or a related field within a medium-to-large organization.
- Proven experience leading complex HR operational environments and large-scale teams.
- Strong experience with HRIS platforms, including SAP SuccessFactors or similar systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in payroll operations, governance, compliance, and data management.
- Experience driving operational transformation, automation, and process optimization initiatives.
- Strong understanding of HR lifecycle processes and operational service delivery models.
- Relevant qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
Knowledge and Expertise
