About the Role: End Controller

Cashbuild is seeking a meticulous and reliable individual to join our team as an End Controller in Mondlo, South Africa. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring all transactions involving stock and customer returns are accurately documented and processed, safeguarding the store’s assets. Your attention to detail will be key to maintaining the integrity of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and record all relevant documentation for stock and fixed assets exiting the store.
  • Accurately process customer returns, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and authorized in the End Controller book.
  • Ensure that no goods leave Cashbuild stores without proper authorization and documentation.
  • Maintain the correct date, time, sequence, and signature on all transaction documents.
  • Ensure a backup employee is available for your area of responsibility during shift changes, lunch, and tea breaks.
  • Manage the daily IN/OUT logging of End Control keys.
  • Ensure all exit/entry doors and loading/off-loading shutter doors are kept closed when not in use.
  • Proactively report any suspicious behavior or vehicles to Management that may pose a risk to Cashbuild and its customers.
  • Conduct random searches on employees as they leave the store.

Customer Service:

  • Provide prompt, friendly, and efficient service to all Cashbuild customers, particularly during the checking of incoming and outgoing goods.
  • Direct customers to the appropriate personnel for assistance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Grade 12 qualification.
  • One (1) year of relevant work experience, or two (2) years of general work-related experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and the dominant local language spoken in the Mondlo area.
  • Must be literate and possess strong numeric skills.
  • Proven attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
