About the Role
The End Controller is responsible for verifying and recording all necessary documentation for transactions involving stock or fixed assets leaving the store, as well as for customer returns. This includes ensuring that all paperwork is correctly completed, dated, and authorized to maintain the integrity of our inventory and financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify and record all relevant documentation for outgoing stock and fixed assets.
- Ensure that no goods leave Cashbuild stores without proper, completed documentation.
- Confirm that all documents include the correct date, time, sequence, and necessary signatures.
- Accurately record all customer returns in the End Controller book and ensure they are properly authorized.
- Maintain a backup employee for your area of responsibility during shift changes, lunch, and tea breaks.
- Manage the daily signing in and out of End Control keys.
- Ensure all exit and entry doors are closed when not in use, and loading/off-loading shutter doors are secured at all times.
- Report any suspicious behaviour or vehicles that may pose a risk to Cashbuild and its customers to Management.
- Conduct random searches on employees leaving the store as required.
Customer Service Excellence
- Provide fast, friendly, and efficient service to all Cashbuild customers during check-in and check-out processes.
- Direct customers to the appropriate personnel for assistance.

Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 qualification.
- A minimum of 1 year of work-related experience, or 2 years of general work-related experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and the dominant local language of the operating area.
- Must be literate.

- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
