Franchise Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Franchise Specialist to strengthen franchise partnerships, drive business growth, and enhance franchise banking solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in building strategic relationships with franchisors, identifying growth opportunities, managing franchise portfolios, and supporting the development of innovative value propositions that create long-term success for franchise brands and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with franchisors, franchise groups, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Generate and manage a sustainable pipeline of franchise business opportunities.
  • Drive franchise business growth by supporting business centres in sourcing, onboarding, and servicing franchise clients.
  • Lead franchise brand accreditation processes and assess franchise opportunities using financial and operational analysis.
  • Evaluate franchise brands and provide recommendations based on commercial viability, risk, and growth potential.
  • Develop, negotiate, and manage franchise value propositions, including pricing structures and commercial agreements.
  • Collaborate with sales, credit, risk, and operational teams to enhance the franchise client experience.
  • Monitor franchise portfolio performance and identify opportunities for expansion and improvement.
  • Assess financial performance, credit risk exposure, and portfolio health across franchise accounts.
  • Facilitate and host franchise events, networking opportunities, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Present business proposals, franchise opportunities, and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Maintain awareness of franchise industry trends, market developments, and competitive activity.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of franchise banking products, services, and processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience working directly with franchisors, franchise groups, or franchise-related business environments.
  • Proven experience managing franchise opportunities from initial assessment through implementation and ongoing portfolio management.
  • Strong understanding of franchise business models, operations, and commercial structures.
  • Experience in financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and portfolio management.
  • Demonstrated success in relationship management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience managing commercial agreements and pricing discussions.
  • Experience identifying business opportunities and driving sustainable growth initiatives.
  • Relevant qualification in Commerce, Finance, Business Management, Economics, or a related field will be advantageous.
