Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service Excellence: Provide comprehensive customer service, assisting shoppers with product selection and addressing any queries or complaints effectively.
• Merchandising and Presentation: Ensure stock is accurately merchandised on shelves and in bulk areas, maintaining correct price labelling and adhering to store layout plans and planograms.
• Store Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, ensuring aisles are clear of obstacles and stock is replenished promptly. Complete housekeeping checklists as required.
• Safety and Compliance: Uphold Health and Safety (OHSA) regulations, including the correct use of safety gear and ensuring the safety of both customers and colleagues within your designated area. Report any safety concerns or discrepancies to the Store Manager.
• Stock Management: Report any damaged stock to the Store Manager promptly to help manage stock loss effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this General Assistant position, candidates will need:

• A minimum of Grade 10 or NQF Level 3 with at least one year of relevant work experience; OR
• A Grade 12 qualification without prior work experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the dominant local language spoken in the Pretoria area.
• A valid South African ID or work permit.
• The ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• The ability to perform effectively under pressure.
