Value Logistics Vacancies – Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible for the hands-on management and delivery of projects across the Logistics division and related business units. The role ensures that all projects are executed according to defined scope, timelines, and operational requirements, with a strong focus on achieving measurable business outcomes and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Manage and oversee multiple projects, including operational improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with IT and operational teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines
  • Define project scope, tasks, milestones, and deliverables
  • Apply structured project management methodologies throughout all phases of work
  • Assign roles and responsibilities to project team members
  • Monitor project progress and ensure deadlines are consistently met
  • Report on project status, risks, and progress to stakeholders
  • Communicate project updates and escalate issues timeously when required
  • Ensure all project documentation, including meeting agendas, minutes, and action items, is accurately recorded and distributed
  • Maintain proper project records and ensure organized filing systems
  • Engage with stakeholders and provide regular feedback on project developments

Business Analysis and Process Improvement

  • Conduct operational and business process analysis to support project objectives
  • Gather, document, and validate business requirements
  • Analyse and document findings from operational assessments
  • Present reports and recommendations based on analysis outcomes
  • Develop process documentation and workflow diagrams
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements
  • Conduct research to support solution design and implementation

General Responsibilities

  • Perform general administrative duties related to project execution
  • Maintain organized documentation and records
  • Ensure a clean and structured working environment

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Management is advantageous
  • PMI certification preferred (CAPM or PMP)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ project management experience
