We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join Cashbuild as a Sales Co. This role is crucial for driving sales through consistent customer interaction, accurate costing of building plans, and issuing precise quotations. The Sales Co will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of housekeeping and merchandising, while ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery services. Key Responsibilities
Sales:
- Generate sales by issuing and diligently following up on quotations.
- Manage the quoting process and control special orders effectively.
- Accurately read building plans and ensure quotations are correct and delivered within agreed timeframes.
- Handle all telephone communications professionally, including answering and returning calls, and ensuring timely follow-ups.
- Conduct thorough competitor analysis to maintain the store’s competitive edge.
- Communicate bulk deposit transfers to customers.
- Actively promote loyalty programs such as VIC and Charge Card initiatives.
Deliveries:
- Oversee an efficient delivery service, ensuring accurate rates are applied.
- Dispatch deliveries within the required time limits.
- Proactively communicate any delivery delays to customers and arrange suitable alternatives.
Customer Service:
- Manage the Customer Service Desk effectively.
- Record, follow up on, and resolve all customer complaints promptly.
- Ensure consistently efficient customer service, attending to all customers without delay.
- Maintain excellent telephone etiquette, answering all calls within the specified timeframe.
Store Standards:
- Effectively manage Ready for Business Checklists and associated processes within your area of responsibility, including those of General Assistants, Sales Advisors, and Forklift Drivers.
- Implement price changes accurately in accordance with advertised prices.
- Execute planogram implementations as required.
People Management:
- Ensure all General Assistants, Sales Advisors, and Forklift Drivers are present and available in their designated areas to assist customers and perform their duties.
- Confirm that trained backup personnel are available for General Assistants, Sales Advisors, and Forklift Drivers.
- Supervise the execution of daily duties by General Assistants, Sales Advisors, and Forklift Drivers, including Ready for Business and Beyond My Control processes.
Safety (OHSA) Requirements:
- Uphold safety standards rigorously.
- Ensure that employees under the Sales Coordinator’s supervision wear appropriate protective clothing and use equipment safely.
Security Awareness:
- Remain vigilant for any suspicious individuals or activities both inside and outside the store.
- Adhere to strict password security protocols.
Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification is essential.
- A minimum of 5 years of related experience, or 10 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in reading building plans would be a significant advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and the dominant local language of the operating area.
- Above-average numeric abilities.
- A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in computer literacy is required.
- Strong, proven skills in organization, planning, and delegation.
