Sales Representative at Value Logistics
Value Logistics is seeking a driven and experienced Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in promoting and selling our comprehensive suite of Value Services, with a primary focus on Value Truck Rental, alongside cross-selling our other offerings including Linehaul, Value Equipment, Fridge Fleet, Freightpak, Warehousing, Clearing and Forwarding, Moving Billboards, and Express services. Key Responsibilities
As a Sales Representative, your primary responsibilities will involve:
- Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Gathering in-depth information on client transport/distribution needs and current expenditures.
- Evaluating potential expenditure and applying strategic focus factors.
- Developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of competitors within your territory.
- Building robust client relationships and fostering a high level of customer trust.
- Identifying precise customer service requirements and providing accurate Value Service quotes.
- Expanding the existing client base by understanding their business operations and proactively cross-selling relevant Value services.
- Successfully closing deals and securing new business opportunities.
- Targeting and managing national accounts.
- Ensuring deep understanding of existing client contracts with Value Logistics.
- Confirming that provided services align precisely with current customer requirements.
- Demonstrating a clear understanding of the customer’s business to achieve desired increases in service utilization.
- Adding tangible value to every client interaction, with a clear objective for each visit.
- Maintaining high standards of Value service levels in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Engaging in frequent communication with key business influencers.
- Continuously updating product knowledge.
- Proactively identifying and resolving client issues and queries promptly, such as invoice discrepancies, claims, and Proof of Delivery (POD) matters.
- Projecting a consistently professional image.
- Adhering to and enforcing company policies and procedures.
- Submitting all required sales reports accurately and on time.
- Meeting team expectations and achieving budgets and goals set by management.
- Assisting with any additional reasonable tasks or duties as requested by management, ensuring these align with your capabilities and organizational objectives.
Minimum Requirements
To be successful in this Sales Representative role, you will need:
- Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
- Demonstrable experience within a sales environment.
- Proficiency in both English and Afrikaans.
