The Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling a wide range of company services, with a primary focus on truck rental solutions while identifying opportunities to cross-sell additional logistics and transport offerings. The role focuses on building strong client relationships, driving revenue growth, and delivering tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Gather and analyse information on clients’ transport, distribution, and related expenditure
- Evaluate potential business opportunities and prioritise key focus areas
- Monitor competitor activity within the assigned region
- Build strong relationships and establish trust with clients
- Identify customer requirements and provide accurate service quotations
- Expand existing accounts by understanding client operations and cross-selling relevant services
- Close sales deals and secure new business opportunities
- Target and manage national accounts
- Maintain a clear understanding of client contracts and service agreements
- Ensure services provided align with current customer requirements
- Continuously assess customer needs and drive business growth opportunities
- Add value during every client interaction with a clear objective for each engagement
- Maintain service delivery standards in line with company procedures
- Maintain regular contact with key decision-makers and stakeholders
- Stay updated on product and service offerings
- Resolve client queries efficiently, including invoices, claims, and documentation
- Maintain a professional image at all times
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
Reporting and Performance
- Submit all required reports accurately and within deadlines
- Complete sales reports and performance updates regularly
- Meet team expectations, sales targets, and budget requirements
- Support additional tasks or duties as required by management
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Proven experience in a sales environment
- Proficiency in English and Afrikaans
