Job Overview
The Supervisor, Operations, Contract Logistics is responsible for overseeing and maintaining high-quality warehouse operations, ensuring stock integrity, and managing outbound processes. This role focuses on driving operational excellence, meeting key performance indicators, and ensuring consistent service delivery in line with client expectations.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- Tertiary qualification is advantageous
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in supply chain warehousing
- Strong knowledge of WMS systems
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
Job Requirements
- At least 4 years’ experience in a warehouse environment
- Strong understanding of inbound, outbound, cycle counting, and returns processes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels
- Ability to work extended or after-hours when required
- Strong stress and conflict management skills
- Experience in HR and Industrial Relations processes, including team leadership, training, and performance management
Added Advantages

- At least 2 years’ experience in GDP/GWP compliance, including process control, documentation, training, pest control, dust control, and housekeeping standards
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Supervise team productivity and ensure tasks are completed to required standards
- Report operational incidents and non-conformances to management
- Ensure completion of daily and weekly housekeeping tasks and reports
- Maintain operational KPIs and ensure adherence to service level agreements
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions (CAPA) to address performance gaps
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Support the Operations Manager in daily operational activities
- Ensure all processes and work instructions are current and consistently followed
- Communicate operational updates clearly to team members
Inventory & Compliance
- Ensure daily bin maintenance and cycle counting are executed accurately
- Oversee stock takes and ensure compliance with company standards
- Maintain accurate operational reporting and submit required reports on time
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding operational matters
- Enforce Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Quality Management System (QMS) policies
Facility & Equipment Management
- Ensure proper use of facility and equipment by all staff
- Address misuse or negligence and enforce site rules
- Report any non-compliance to site management immediately
Team Leadership
- Define and manage roles and responsibilities for all team members
- Provide ongoing training and support multi-skilling initiatives
- Address employee queries and escalate when necessary
- Monitor performance and manage non-performance through coaching and disciplinary processes
- Promote a fair, consistent, and motivating work environment
- Ensure compliance with job clocking and resource planning systems
- Share company updates and maintain clear communication within the team
- Support other departments when required based on operational needs
