As an Engineering Manager, you will lead high-performing engineering teams while shaping the technical direction of large-scale, business-critical platforms. This role is designed for a strong technical leader who can balance hands-on engineering insight with people leadership, ensuring the delivery of reliable, scalable, and high-quality software solutions.

You will play a key role in guiding how systems are built, scaled, and maintained, while fostering an environment where engineers can thrive and deliver meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of skilled engineers to deliver high-quality software
  • Define and drive technical direction aligned with long-term scalability and business goals
  • Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical solutions
  • Oversee system design, architecture decisions, and engineering best practices
  • Ensure efficient software development, deployment, and operational processes
  • Promote stability, simplicity, and continuous improvement across systems and workflows
  • Support project planning, execution, and operational continuity
  • Effectively delegate tasks and manage workload distribution within the team

Requirements

  • Proven experience within the telecommunications (telco) domain
  • 2–3 years of experience leading software engineering teams
  • Minimum of 5 years’ strong technical background in software development or related fields
  • Experience working with large-scale, business-critical systems
  • Strong ability to guide architecture and design decisions
  • Experience working in agile, fast-paced, and collaborative environments
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies
  • Understanding of software engineering practices, system architecture, and development life cycles
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, DevOps pipelines, and continuous delivery practices
  • Awareness of risk, compliance, and data governance in IT operations
  • Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Strong people management and leadership capabilities

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Relevant post-graduate qualification in Information Technology

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
