Business Process Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Business Process Engineer to play a key role in designing, optimizing, and integrating end-to-end business processes across the client lifecycle. This strategic position focuses on creating seamless, client-centric experiences by ensuring that business solutions are connected, standardized, and aligned across multiple banking channels and operational functions.
The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to drive process excellence, improve operational efficiency, and support the delivery of a unified client experience.
Key Responsibilities
Process Design and Optimization
- Design and optimize end-to-end client lifecycle processes from onboarding through to account closure and termination.
- Develop integrated process solutions that support a seamless client experience across multiple banking channels.
- Identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Drive process standardization initiatives across business units and operational environments.
- Ensure business processes are scalable, efficient, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Client Lifecycle Management
- Design and improve client lifecycle events, servicing processes, remediation activities, and resolution frameworks.
- Support the integration of client lifecycle processes across business and personal banking environments.
- Contribute to the development of a unified client view across products, channels, and systems.
- Ensure client journey designs align with operational requirements and customer experience objectives.
Business Integration and Enterprise Alignment
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align processes, systems, and data standards across the enterprise.
- Translate enterprise data standards into practical operational processes and workflows.
- Support the operationalization of trigger events and lifecycle events within business processes.
- Ensure readiness and successful integration of new processes across servicing and operational ecosystems.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to deliver integrated business solutions.
Business Analysis and Solution Design
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Develop process maps, workflow diagrams, and operational models.
- Design practical solutions that address business challenges and improve client outcomes.
- Evaluate business impacts and measure process performance improvements.
- Support project delivery through process design, stakeholder engagement, and implementation activities.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with business, operational, technology, and leadership stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather requirements and align business objectives.
- Present process recommendations, improvement initiatives, and project outcomes to management.
- Support change management and adoption of new business processes.
Requirements
- Grade 12 National Certificate or equivalent.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Business Process Engineering, Process Improvement, Business Analysis, or Operational Excellence.
- Strong understanding of business process design, optimization, and integration.
- Experience delivering end-to-end projects with measurable business outcomes.
- Proven ability to work across multiple business domains and operational environments.
- Strong understanding of client lifecycle processes and customer journey management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Information Technology, Business Management, or a related discipline.
- Additional certifications in process improvement, business analysis, or project management will be advantageous.
