Cashbuild is seeking a meticulous and diligent End Controller to join our team in Tembisa, Gauteng. This vital role ensures the accurate documentation and control of all stock and fixed asset movements, playing a key part in maintaining the integrity of our store operations. Key Responsibilities
The End Controller will be responsible for:
- Verifying and recording all relevant documentation for transactions where stock and/or fixed assets leave the store, or when customers return stock.
- Ensuring no goods depart Cashbuild stores without complete and accurate documentation.
- Confirming that all documentation includes the correct date, time, sequence, and signature.
- Accurately recording all customer returns in the designated End Controller book and obtaining necessary authorization.
- Ensuring backup personnel are available for the area of responsibility during shift changes, lunch, and tea breaks.
- Daily signing for the IN and OUT of End Control keys.
- Maintaining the closure of all exit/entry doors when not in use.
- Ensuring that loading and off-loading shutter doors remain closed at all times when not in use.
- Reporting any suspicious behaviour or vehicles that could pose a risk to Cashbuild and its customers to Management.
- Conducting random searches of employees as they leave the store.
Customer Service
- Providing fast, friendly, and efficient service to all Cashbuild customers during the checking of goods in and out.
- Directing customers to the appropriate personnel for assistance.
Operational Standards
- Adhering to “Ready for Business” and “Beyond My Control” standards as per the Cashbuild Way.
Requirements
To be considered for this End Controller position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of Grade 12 education, coupled with one (1) year of relevant work experience, or two (2) years of general work-related experience.
- Proficiency in communicating in English and the dominant local language spoken in the Tembisa area.
- Must be literate.
- Possess strong numeric skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail is essential.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
