Cashbuild is seeking a meticulous and reliable End Controller to join their team in Tembisa, Gauteng. This vital role ensures the accurate processing of all outgoing stock and customer returns, maintaining the integrity of store operations.
Role Responsibilities
As an End Controller, your primary focus will be on diligently checking and recording all relevant documentation for transactions involving stock and fixed assets leaving the store, as well as for customer returns. You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring no goods depart Cashbuild stores without complete and correct documentation.
- Verifying that all documentation includes the correct date, time, sequence, and signatures.
- Accurately recording all customer returns in the designated End Controller book and ensuring they are authorised.
- Facilitating a smooth handover by ensuring a backup employee is available for your area of responsibility during shift changes, lunch, and tea breaks.
- Managing the daily sign-in and sign-out of End Control keys.
- Maintaining security by ensuring all exit and entry doors are closed when not in use.
- Ensuring loading and off-loading shutter doors are kept closed when not in operation.
- Reporting any suspicious behaviour or vehicles that may pose a risk to Cashbuild and its customers to management.
- Conducting random searches on employees as they leave the store.
In addition to these operational duties, you will also be expected to:
- Customer Service: Provide fast, friendly, and efficient service to all Cashbuild customers while processing their goods. Direct customers to the appropriate personnel for further assistance.

Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience, or 2 years of general work-related experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and the dominant local language spoken in the Tembisa area.
- Must be literate.
- Strong numeric skills are essential.
- Proven attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
