We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Sales Co to join our team at Cashbuild in Holfontein. This role is pivotal in driving sales by ensuring consistent customer interaction, accurate costing of building plans, and the efficient issuance of quotations. You will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of store presentation and ensuring cost-effective delivery services.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Focus:

• Generate sales by issuing and diligently following up on quotations.
• Manage the quotation process and control special orders.
• Accurately read building plans and provide correct quotations within agreed timeframes.
• Effectively manage incoming and outgoing calls, ensuring prompt follow-ups.
• Conduct competitor analysis to maintain the store’s competitive edge.
• Communicate bulk deposit transfers to customers.
• Actively promote loyalty programs, including VIC and Charge Card customers.

Delivery Management:

• Oversee an efficient delivery service, ensuring correct rates are applied.
• Dispatch deliveries within the required time limits.
• Communicate any delivery delays to customers and make appropriate, agreed-upon arrangements.

Customer Service Excellence:

• Manage the Customer Service Desk effectively.
• Record, follow up on, and resolve customer complaints promptly.
• Ensure efficient customer service is provided at all times, attending to all customers.
• Maintain excellent telephone etiquette, answering all calls within the required timeframe.

Store Standards:

• Effectively manage Ready for Business checklists and processes for your area of responsibility and that of supporting staff.
• Implement price changes accurately in line with advertised prices.
• Execute planogram implementations.

Team Support and Management:

• Ensure that General Assistants, Sales Advisors, and Forklift Drivers are present and available in their respective areas to assist customers and perform their duties.
• Confirm that trained backup is available for General Assistants, Sales Advisors, and Forklift Drivers.
• Ensure General Assistants, Sales Advisors, and Forklift Drivers execute their daily duties effectively (Ready for Business and Beyond my Control).

Safety and Security:

• Ensure adherence to all safety standards (OHSA).
• Verify that employees under your purview wear correct protective clothing and use equipment safely.
• Maintain awareness of any suspicious individuals or activities inside and outside the store.
• Adhere to password security protocols.

Requirements

• Grade 12 qualification.
• A minimum of five years of relevant experience, or at least 10 years of directly related work experience.
• Plan reading experience is considered advantageous.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and the dominant local language spoken in the Holfontein area.
• Above-average numeric skills.
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Proven capability to work effectively under pressure.
• Proficiency in computer literacy.
• Strong, proven organizational, planning, and delegation skills.
