Discovery Vacancies – DC – Life Telesales Consultant – Sandton (1DP)

This role is based within the Discovery Connect Sales call centre and reports directly to the Sales Team Leader. The DC Life Telesales Consultant is responsible for driving Discovery Life sales through outbound telesales engagements, delivering high-quality financial solutions, and ensuring excellent customer experience throughout the sales process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed Discovery Life sales targets through outbound telesales activities
  • Conduct telephonic communication with members, including email and fax correspondence where required
  • Perform comprehensive Financial Needs Analysis to identify suitable life insurance solutions
  • Handle objections effectively to convert leads into successful sales
  • Maintain high-quality service standards in line with business expectations
  • Ensure adherence to all service level agreements and compliance requirements
  • Manage general administrative tasks related to sales processing and documentation

Education and Experience

  • Matric (Essential)
  • Minimum of 1 year sales experience, preferably in outbound telesales
  • Minimum of 1 year life insurance product knowledge (Discovery Life experience advantageous)
  • PC literacy including email, Word, and Excel
  • Tertiary qualification is advantageous
  • NQF Level 5 qualification and RE5 certification advantageous
