About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Manager: Talent Acquisition to lead the full lifecycle recruitment process, build strategic talent pipelines, and enhance FlySafair’s employer brand. This role requires strong leadership, operational oversight, and the ability to implement innovative talent acquisition strategies that align with organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute proactive talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent
  • Build and maintain professional networks with HR professionals and recruitment suppliers
  • Recommend improvements to the employer brand and candidate experience
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for assigned positions, including interviews, shortlisting, and selection
  • Develop role-specific interview questions and ensure compliance with recruitment policies
  • Track, analyse, and report recruitment metrics to inform business decisions
  • Research and implement innovative sourcing methods and job advertising channels
  • Maintain accurate records in Payroll and the Application Tracking System (ATS)
  • Manage job portals, requisition workflows, and ensure effective utilisation of recruitment tools
  • Oversee recruitment budgets, approve invoices, and ensure cost control and forecasting
  • Lead and manage the Talent Acquisition team, setting goals, providing guidance, and motivating staff
  • Monitor team performance, encourage productivity, and promote teamwork
  • Advise hiring managers on interviewing techniques, recruitment best practices, and labour legislation
  • Conduct benchmarking for salaries, recruitment processes, and market trends
  • Liaise with management to anticipate future recruitment needs and plan accordingly
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with employment laws and regulations
  • Evaluate current recruitment procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and uphold high ethical standards

Job Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent (essential)
  • Relevant degree in Human Resources or related field (essential)
  • 10 years’ relevant experience in a mid-sized organisation, with at least 3 years in a managerial role (essential)
  • Proven experience as a Recruitment/Talent Acquisition Manager (essential)
  • Proficiency with career portals (Pnet, LinkedIn) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) (essential)
  • Experience with HRIS systems such as Sage or SageX3 (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of HR management practices, policies, and labour legislation (BCEA, EEA, SDA, Codes of Good Practice)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
