About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive Product Owner (Onsite) to manage the delivery of digital product streams, translate product vision into actionable backlog items, and ensure alignment with business priorities. This role requires close collaboration with development teams, UX/UI designers, and stakeholders to deliver high-value solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day delivery of specific digital products and maintain a groomed product backlog
- Own and refine backlog items, ensuring user stories and designs are well-defined, prioritised, and actionable
- Support sprint execution by clarifying requirements and providing guidance to development teams
- Translate the Product Manager’s vision and roadmap into tangible backlog items
- Align features and releases with roadmap milestones and track performance metrics
- Collaborate with UX/UI teams to ensure features support optimal customer journeys
- Validate product increments with users to ensure value delivery
- Track sprint-level KPIs including velocity, story completion, and defect rates
- Conduct retrospectives and facilitate Agile ceremonies (refinement, sprint planning, reviews)
- Document user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and create a comprehensive knowledge base
- Produce guides, training materials, and instructional resources for cross-functional teams
- Coordinate release planning and communicate project status, timelines, and changes
- Identify blockers, streamline processes, and improve operational efficiency
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and ensure effective communication between business units
- Support training, adoption, and smooth handover of new releases to business teams
Job Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent (essential)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (essential)
- Scrum certification (advantageous)
- 4+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner (essential)
- Experience with software projects and digital solutions (essential)
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, backlog management, and user story mapping
- Understanding of UX principles and acceptance criteria definition
- Practical knowledge of product development tools
