Sales Representative – Free State Region
Value Logistics is seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team and play a crucial role in expanding our reach within the Free State region. This position involves identifying, developing, and nurturing key customer relationships, from small spaza shops to larger forecourts and wholesalers. Your primary focus will be on driving sales and margin growth while diligently managing customer accounts to ensure timely payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and secure new customers within the designated Free State territory, consistently meeting established monthly and quarterly acquisition targets.
- Cultivate and expand the existing customer base, striving to achieve and surpass set sales volume and margin growth objectives.
- Develop and maintain robust, long-term relationships with customers through regular engagement, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Effectively manage customer credit facilities, ensuring debtor days remain within agreed-upon limits and that payments are received punctually.
- Conduct a minimum number of customer calls weekly, which will include taking orders and introducing new product offerings.
- Systematically record and report customer feedback to management to facilitate ongoing business improvements.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, efficiently resolving inquiries within established turnaround times.
- Implement and execute business strategies, including marketing campaigns and promotional activities, meticulously tracking their performance against defined objectives.
Minimum Requirements
- A Grade 12 (Matric) qualification is essential.
- A minimum of 5 years of sales experience, specifically within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector.
- Demonstrated success and a proven track record as a high-performing sales representative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- A valid driver’s license and a readiness to undertake extensive travel are mandatory.
- Proficiency in utilizing CRM systems, MS Office suite, and various mobile sales tools.
