Value Logistics Vacancies – Sales Representative
The Sales Representative is responsible for identifying, acquiring, growing, and retaining key customers across the Free State region, including spaza shops, forecourts, and wholesalers. The role focuses on building strong customer relationships, driving sales and margin growth, and managing debtor accounts effectively to ensure financial stability within the customer base.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Acquisition and Growth
- Identify and recruit new customers within the assigned region to meet monthly and quarterly acquisition targets
- Grow and maintain the existing customer base to achieve or exceed sales volume and margin objectives
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through consistent engagement and support
Sales and Account Management
- Conduct regular customer visits and calls, including order-taking and product presentations
- Promote and introduce new product lines to customers
- Monitor customer performance and provide feedback to management for continuous improvement
- Ensure excellent customer service by resolving queries within agreed timeframes
Credit and Debtor Management
- Manage customer credit accounts to ensure debtor days remain within approved limits
- Follow up on outstanding payments to maintain healthy cash flow
- Support financial discipline within the customer portfolio
Marketing and Execution
- Implement sales and marketing strategies, including promotional campaigns and trade activities
- Monitor and report on campaign performance and customer response
- Ensure execution of promotional plans within the assigned territory
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in FMCG sales
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel extensively
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and mobile sales tools
