Value Logistics Vacancies – Parts Administrator
The Parts Administrator is responsible for managing and controlling inventory within the parts department, ensuring accurate stock records, timely issuing of parts, and efficient support to workshop operations. The role involves monitoring stock levels, processing orders, and maintaining effective communication with suppliers to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Parts Management and Inventory Control
- Pick and issue parts according to job card requirements
- Ensure all pre-booked parts are prepared and available before scheduled vehicle maintenance
- Raise purchase orders for non-stock or special-order items as indicated on job cards
- Track and update backorders and submit reports to the Parts Manager
- Monitor daily stock shortages and ensure timely replenishment
- Track all credit returns and ensure proper processing
- Monitor movement of stock and ensure accurate stock transfers between locations
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and report for review and removal
Supplier and Order Management
- Liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries, collections, and order status
- Follow up on outstanding orders to ensure timely delivery
- Ensure received stock is promptly processed and issued to the workshop
Stock Control and Reporting
- Conduct regular cycle counts and stock takes with accuracy
- Maintain accurate records of all stock movements
- Report daily stock-outs and ensure corrective actions are taken
- Assist in maintaining overall stock integrity and availability
Housekeeping and Compliance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
- Follow all company housekeeping standards and procedures
- Comply with all Health and Safety policies and regulations at all times
General Duties
- Support additional tasks within the parts department as required
- Work independently and take initiative in completing daily responsibilities
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and customers
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 2 to 5 years’ experience in a parts or inventory environment
- Computer literate
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
