Cashbuild is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented End Controller to join our team in Bloemfontein, South Africa. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate recording and documentation of all stock and asset movements, as well as customer returns. Key Responsibilities

As an End Controller, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Verifying and recording all necessary documentation for transactions involving stock and fixed assets leaving the store or customer returns.
  • Ensuring no goods depart Cashbuild stores without proper, completed documentation.
  • Confirming that dates, times, sequences, and signatures on documents are accurate and complete.
  • Accurately recording all customer returns in the designated End Controller book and obtaining necessary authorization.
  • Maintaining operational continuity by ensuring a backup employee is available for your area of responsibility during shift changes, lunch, and tea breaks.
  • Managing the signing in and out of End Control keys daily.
  • Ensuring all exit and entry doors are closed when not in use.
  • Keeping loading and off-loading shutter doors closed at all times when not in use.
  • Promptly reporting any suspicious behaviour or vehicles that may pose a risk to Cashbuild and its customers to Management.
  • Conducting random searches on employees as they leave the store.

Customer Service Excellence

  • Providing fast, friendly, and efficient service to all Cashbuild customers during the check-in and check-out process for their goods.
  • Directing customers to the appropriate personnel for assistance.

Adherence to Company Standards

  • Complying with “Ready for Business” and “Beyond my Control” protocols as outlined in the CB Way.

Requirements

  • Minimum Grade 12 qualification.
  • One (1) year of relevant work experience, or two (2) years of work-related experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and the dominant language spoken in the Bloemfontein geographical area.
  • Must be literate.
  • Possess strong numeric skills.
  • Proven attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
