Franchise Acquisition Banker
We are seeking a driven and commercially minded Franchise Acquisition Banker to support the growth of franchise businesses through strategic funding solutions and relationship management. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying franchise opportunities, assessing funding applications, structuring deals, and building strong relationships with franchise stakeholders to grow a high-performing franchise portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow the franchise funding pipeline by identifying and converting new business opportunities.
- Source, assess, and close franchise funding deals that contribute to portfolio growth.
- Prepare and manage end-to-end funding applications from initial client engagement through to final approval.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and commercial assessments of franchise businesses and ownership transactions.
- Evaluate business plans, financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and funding requirements.
- Work closely with franchisors, franchisees, and internal stakeholders to gather and validate information.
- Structure funding solutions that align with client needs and business objectives.
- Prepare clear and comprehensive credit proposals for decision-making and approval processes.
- Communicate funding decisions, conditions, and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure high-quality service delivery, efficient turnaround times, and a positive client experience.
- Monitor pipeline performance and maintain accurate records of opportunities and transactions.
- Stay informed about franchise industry trends, market developments, and business opportunities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business banking, commercial banking, credit analysis, or franchise finance.
- Strong background in credit assessment, financial analysis, and business deal structuring.
- Experience preparing and motivating credit applications from initiation to approval.
- Ability to evaluate financial statements, business performance, and commercial viability.
- Experience working with business clients and managing multiple stakeholder relationships.
- Strong understanding of lending principles, risk assessment, and portfolio management.
- Relevant qualification in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Management, or a related field.
- Experience within the franchise industry will be advantageous.
