End Controller Opportunity at Cashbuild – Bloemfontein
Cashbuild is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented End Controller to join our team in Bloemfontein, South Africa. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate documentation of all stock and fixed asset movements, as well as customer returns, to maintain the integrity of store operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify and record all necessary documentation for transactions involving stock and fixed assets exiting the store or when customers return items.
- Ensure no goods depart Cashbuild stores without proper, completed, and accurate documentation.
- Confirm that the correct date, time, sequence, and signature are captured on all relevant documents.
- Accurately record and obtain authorization for all customer returns in the designated End Controller logbook.
- Maintain operational continuity by ensuring a backup employee is available for your area of responsibility during shift changes, lunch, and tea breaks.
- Manage the signing in and out of End Control keys daily.
- Ensure all exit and entry doors are secured when not in use.
- Keep loading and off-loading shutter doors closed at all times when they are not in operation.
- Promptly report any suspicious behaviour or vehicles that may pose a risk to Cashbuild and its customers to management.
- Conduct random searches of employees exiting the store as required.
Customer Service Excellence
- Provide fast, friendly, and efficient service to all Cashbuild customers during the check-in and check-out process for their goods.
- Direct customers to the appropriate personnel who can best assist them with their needs.
Core Competencies and Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 qualification.
- One year of relevant work experience, or two years of general work-related experience.
- Proficiency in English and the dominant language spoken in the Bloemfontein geographical area.
- Essential literacy skills.
- Strong numerical aptitude and skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
