Discovery Vacancies – DCDS – Health Team Leader Telesales(CPT

The Team Leader will be responsible for leading, managing, and mentoring a team of Telesales Consultants to consistently achieve sales targets. This role ensures strong performance management, continuous coaching, and the development of team members while driving a high-performance sales culture. The Team Leader will also ensure effective execution of sales strategies and alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 11–13 Telesales Consultants
  • Drive the team to achieve and exceed sales targets, ensuring overall team accountability
  • Conduct performance management, coaching, and ongoing development of team members
  • Monitor and evaluate call quality through QA assessments
  • Support recruitment activities including interviews and role plays
  • Handle escalated customer and operational queries effectively
  • Ensure clear communication and engagement across the team
  • Enforce adherence to internal policies, procedures, and compliance standards
  • Motivate, inspire, and support the team to achieve optimal performance
  • Assign tasks based on individual strengths and ensure quality execution
  • Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions in line with company policies
  • Develop and maintain individual development and performance plans for team members
  • Promote participation in rewards and recognition programmes

Qualification and Experience

  • Grade 12 (required)
  • Minimum 4 years of outbound or inbound sales experience (required)
  • At least 3 years of team leadership or supervisory experience
  • Computer literate with strong MS Office skills, especially Excel (required)
  • Regulatory Examination and NQF Level 5 FAIS credits (required)
  • BCom or related degree is advantageous
