We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join Cashbuild as a Counter Sales professional in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. This role is crucial in ensuring a positive customer experience and driving sales through effective counter operations.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be instrumental in assisting customers with product inquiries and facilitating their purchases. Your responsibilities will include:

• Accurately and efficiently processing all sales transactions.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and presentable sales counter and showroom.
• Monitoring inventory levels and proactively restocking merchandise as needed.
• Ensuring stock is packed away correctly into allocated bins and merchandised promptly upon receipt.
• Handling customer order requests and payments with precision, including related banking processes.
• Providing reliable and prompt customer service, offering expert advice on products.
• Addressing customer queries and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
• Maintaining up-to-date product knowledge on all offerings.
• Assisting in other departments when required.
• Adhering to safety regulations (OHSA) and ensuring the safety of both customers and employees within your area of responsibility.
• Reporting any suspicious behavior or individuals to management.
• Ensuring all product loading for customers is accompanied by proof of purchase or necessary documentation.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this Counter Sales position, you will need:

• A Grade 12 certificate or an equivalent NQF 4 qualification.
• A minimum of 1 year of sales experience, ideally within a hardware retail, wholesale, or similar environment.
• Previous carpentry experience would be a valuable asset.
• The ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Well-developed problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and Public Holidays.
• The capacity to perform effectively under pressure.
