Cashbuild is seeking a meticulous and diligent End Controller to join our team in Mondlo, South Africa. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and secure management of all store transactions. Key Responsibilities
As an End Controller, your primary duties will involve:
- Verifying and recording all necessary documentation for stock and/or fixed assets leaving the store.
- Processing customer returns, ensuring all relevant details are accurately captured and authorized in the End Controller book.
- Confirming that no goods depart Cashbuild stores without proper, completed documentation.
- Ensuring the correct date, time, sequence, and signatures are recorded on all documents.
- Maintaining a backup employee for your area of responsibility during shift changes, lunch, and tea breaks.
- Managing the daily signing IN/OUT of End Control keys.
- Ensuring all exit/entry and loading/off-loading shutter doors are securely closed when not in use.
- Reporting any suspicious behavior or vehicles that may pose a risk to Cashbuild and its customers to management.
- Conducting random searches of employees as they leave the store.
Customer Service Excellence
- Providing fast, friendly, and efficient service to all Cashbuild customers during check-in and check-out processes.
- Directing customers to the appropriate personnel for assistance.
Operational Adherence
- Adhering to “Ready for Business” and “Beyond My Control” standards as per the CB Way.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
- One year of relevant work experience, or two years of general work-related experience.
- The ability to communicate effectively in English and the dominant local language spoken in the Mondlo area.
- Strong literacy skills.
- Robust numeric skills.
- Proven attention to detail.
- The capacity to work effectively under pressure.
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
